Sustainability
LOTI was founded with the dream of ending textile waste culture. That is why we use 100% deadstock material from premium cotton and alpaca factories in Peru. We earnestly strive to increase the lifespan of natural textiles that would have otherwise ended up in the landfill by turning them into beautiful garments for you to enjoy for a very long time. We use these material constraints to bring you unique designs that make use of playful irregularity.
We exclusively source and reuse natural fibers. To date, we've upcycled the following textiles:
- 100% cotton
- 100% alpaca wool
- 100% merino wool
- 100% leather
- 100% silk
Life is so fast. At LOTI, we slow down. Your clothes are made by hand, exclusively by our team of highly skilled seamstresses, under the direction of our head tailor, Nore. In addition to our commitment to a sustainable textile industry is our investment in the lives of Peruvian artisans and makers. This includes truly livable wages. We are proud to let you know we pay our production lead 3x more than the minimum wage in Lima and 2x more than the living wage in Lima.
We work every day to make our business more responsible, and we are consistently addressing sustainability through the life cycle of our product, down to our unique minimal waste packaging.
